Yes and then some. It is a combined vaccine which includes a tetanus vaccine.
TDAP = Tetanus toxoid, Diphtheria, acellular Pertussis vaccine.
DTP is diphtheria, tetanus toxoid, and pertussis (cellular) which is not used any longer due to problems with the pertussis portion of the vaccine.

Yes, you can have a allergic reaction to any shot. All the shot is is a little bit of the virus:)
Tetanus is the medical term for the viral infection people call lockjaw. It is the same one that you get a tetanus shot to help prevent.
1.) Get a Tetnus shot 2.) If you stepped on it, get your leg amputated
Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis are three bacterial diseases that are often vaccinated against with a single shot (dtap)(diphtheria+tetanus and pertussis). All are lytic as they cause disease in a few days after exposure.
I'm more familiar with dog tags worn during WW2. On those the T43 would mean the soldier had a tetnus shot in the year 1943. So, T57 means he had his shot in 1957. The dog tag contained some medical information such as blood type and date of tetnus shot.
Is DPT the same as DTaP or DTP?
Im wondering the same thing just did it. Called an on call dr. and he said to get a tetnus shot but im worried about other viruses such as hepatitis.

The Tdap is a vaccine that contains tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. The DTaP vaccine, which protects against the same illnesses, is given to infants and children. The Tdap vaccine is now recommended for certain adults.
Try to remove it if you can. I would also go get a tetnus shot if you haven't had one in over 10 years.
Everyone has a different pain tolerance so everyone would have different opinions on how bad an injection is. Both injections are into the muscle so the pain should about the same. After you get the injection I'd recommend doing some arm exercises and mildly rubbing the area.
