It is illegal to drink and drive at any age.
This can be tricky because you may have to be in a situation where you may have to drive kids, for coaching, field trips, or other emergencies. It probably isn't an immediate disqualification but it's definitely a concern. If you are talking felony DUI probably not. <><><><> More than "probably not". That would cost you your teaching certificate.

Of COURSE you should NEVER drink and drive (unless you wish to commit suicide).
You might need a medical certificate saying you are OK to drive. Many courses give students a certificate of completion.
