Everywhere you look, you'll find different answers to this question. This article (http://mac.elated.com/2008/12/12/10-ways-that-windows-is-better-than-mac-os/) argues that Windows is better. While this (http://apcmag.com/15_reasons_macs_are_still_better_than_windows.htm) argues that Mac is better. You really need to know what you'll be using the computer for in order to decide.
Mac is better then windows since Mac offers less viruses then windows.
A Mac application is like a program that runs on windows, but it runs on a Mac. Btw mac applications are better than windows applications.
Windows 7 is an operating system. A Mac is a computer. A Mac can run Windows 7. The two things are not comparable.

Mac OS X Lion is better than Windows 7 because it is faster, doesn't get viruses, is a lot more secure and in my opinion has a better user interface. It's up to you though to decide which is better. Remember if you get a Mac you can run both Windows 7 and Mac OS.
Windows can be installed and run on any Mac (and Ironically windows 7 runs better on a mac than on a PC due to how the graphics are set up)
Most server monitoring solutions will not discriminate on what they monitor. Something like NetCrunch 8 is installed on a Windows device, but can monitor Mac, BSD, Linux, etc.

You should be able to go onto any bodys server thats hosted on a Mac or Windows, with any Mac or Windows machine. Minecraft is cross platform compatible. (Mac and Windows). You just need their "outside" IP address.
Mac OS X 10.6 still beats Windows. Mac OS X 10.6 systems are more stable and secure than any Windows, and this has been proven. 10.6 still beats Windows in performance. It is also in my opinion more useable than Windows 7.
