World of Warcraft is exactly the same as Runescape but the only things that are different is the price :

On world of warcraft you have to pay 14.99 -you don't get to play for free you also have to pay!

WOW is by far a more refined game and has much better mechanics compared to Runescape. WOW also has a much richer history and a wider fan base. Even if it is 15 dollars a month it is worth it because of the wide range of skills, items and races available. Runescape pigeonholes players into playing one race with marginal customization at best and very limited weapon types and design. WOW also features a much better grouping system as well as a very diverse number of dungeons, each with their own specialized loot tables, unique history and lore and several challenging, but rewarding, boss fights. Runescape has a very limited and rudimentary graphics engine as well as poor animation for characters, while WOW features a fairly advanced and stylized graphics engine that is constantly being improved upon. Another thing WOW has that runescape is lacking, is several expansions that expand both on the lore of WOW and the playable areas, while runescape has very limited playing area.
All in all, WOW delivers much more than Runescape and makes the $15 monthly fee worth every penny.

∙ 13y agoIt depends on your idea of a good game. Some people don't like MMORPG's (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game's). The game can be come a little boring if you are not in a guild or have friends online to talk to. On the other hand, once you start playing, sometimes you just cant stop. There have been people who have played entire weekends without signing off before. It can be addicting.

∙ 14y agoIt is good for kids more like 10-13. It can be addicting, and once your good, or if you suck, its REALLY boring. RuneScape is a kids game and if you are good it still is fun. I agree with the second guy. Runescape seems to be easy for younger teens to play. Well not just play but be good at it. Jagex wanted to make money with the game of course so they appealed to the younger teens by making rules to keep them safe. I'm 22 and have been playing for over a year now. And I find it to be very entertaining. Actually this game is for people at least 12 and up but Jagex was trying to aim it more at college students and people around that age. I find this game really fun and all the new updates coming makes it more exciting!You never know what they're going to do next!

∙ 12y agoAQW and Runescape are the best games ever. end of story. better graphics questing and storyline than WoW or Guildwars. Maple Story and Neopets maybe can compete. Aion and Rift are stupid.
