Persons are unaware of the dangers of certain sex practices (such as having sex without a condom) and other methods whereby this virus can be transmitted. Hence, since they lack the knowledge they can unknowingly transmit the virus or become infected.

∙ 13y agoIf people knew what HIV was and the damage it causes, they may be less likely to risk unprotected sex, sharing razors etc. If they knew that any sharing of bodily fluids, such as sperm and blood, spread it, then they would understand how to prevent it. Hope this helps
