Air density - at least, the average air density - pretty much depends on the altitude. I suggest you look up the altitude of both places (you can probably find it on the corresponding Wikipedia articles); the place with the lower altitude should have a greater air density.

Do you need more or less density to float?

More density will sink. Less density will float.

Why does density affect distance?

less density means you will not be able to give the ball momentum, but to little causes the object to fall quickly

Does salt water around the world have the same density?

No, it depends on the volume of water that can dissolve the salt. If the volume of water is more then it dissolves more salt and the density will be more and if the volume of the water is less then it dissolves less salt and the density will be less.

Why does a substance with more density float on top of a substance with more density?

the object with less density rises to the top of the object

Why do an object with more density have less volume?

The formula of density is: d = mass/volume.

When you compare the density of water or air with another object how can you tell which has the lower or higher density?

-- If the object floats in water, then its density is less than the density of water. -- If the object sinks in water, then its density is more than the density of water. -- If the object floats in air, then its density is less than the density of air. -- If the object sinks in air, then its density is less than the density of air.

Will air at the top of the mountain contain more mass?

No , but less mass and less density .

Is the density of regular ice more or less than dry ice?

more

What is the relationship with a floating object and density?

The density of an object is related to the density of the fluid it is in because if the density of the object is less than the fluid than it will float. If this density of the object is greater than the density of the fluid it will sink to the bottom.

What is the property of that makes something sink or float?

More or less density of the material compared to the density of the water.

In comparison to a low density lipoprotein a high density lipoprotein contains more cholesterol?

less lipid

What is the relative gravity on earth?

"Relative gravity" is used more or less as a synonym for density; it bears no direct relation with "gravity" as such. So, you would have to specify, "specific gravity [or density] of what substance"."Relative gravity" is used more or less as a synonym for density; it bears no direct relation with "gravity" as such.
