It really depends on where in Canada you are. If you are up north, it is very cold all the time, but where most Canadians live, in the southern part of Canada near the border between Canada and the United States, it can be rather hot; the temperature can reach over 30 degrees Celsius. It is still cold in the winter though.

If you are up in the high arctic regions of Canada, then it doesn't get too warm. in the most populated southern regions of Canada the summers are generally in the Upper 20's and 30's (Celsius, which would be in the 70s-90s Fahrenheit) Winters are very cold everywhere except for the west coast where afternoon highs are usually above freezing.

Not all of Canada is cold all the time. The further south you go, the warmer it is. Most people live near the border between Canada and the US for this reason. Up north, it can be cold for the entire year, but in southern Canada, it is usually only cold during the winter, and the summer can become quite hot.

Canada is not actually always cold. Certain portions of Canada warm up just like the northern parts of the United States.
