There's really no way to tell which manufacturer has the better processors. It all depends on the speed. If you find two processors that are both the same speed, I guarantee that AMD will be 100-150 dollars less but matched quality. Some Intel dual cores are faster than AMD but are much more expensive.
AMDs have huge spikes of power but when they freeze are impossible to unlock without restarting the computer. Intel is glichy but will rarly freeze unexpectantly.
No, since MOST Duo CPUs are better than Athlon 64 X2 CPUs because of the specs and designs. Choose AMD for simple stuff, and Intel for Performance-Intensive Applications.
It all comes down to personal opinion. I honestly prefer AMD because of their factory clock speeds.
The Intel chip is faster and is easier to overclock than the athlon.
The Intel 6th Generation i7 is much better than the AMD Athlon.
That depends. Centrino is more of a technology used on processors, rather than a processor itself. Look at the actual processor type when you are looking at the specs. if it is a Mobile Pentium, the Athlon 62x2 is a better processor in most cases. However, if it is anything from the Core Duo or Core2 Duo line, they will be better than the Athlon in most cases.
The intel atom is a crappy slow netbook processer. The intel core 2 duo is way better
non!!! Intel celeron is better than Intel Pentium dual core
all Intel CPU's are better than amd (end of) get anything in the core 2 duo range or quad core if you have enough cash skt 775 with fsb of 800-1333 with a speed of 2.0ghz upwards or you could try xeon or itanium CPU's but they are real expensive
Intel Core i5 is a fast, responsive processor. It is not as good as Core i7, but better than Celtron, Core 2 Duo, and Core i3.
The Intel Core 2 Duo is a much faster Processor than an AMD Athlon x2 64. I have 2 Computers and the one that has the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor is much faster. I logged on to the other one and it takes time to warm up after you log on, so I did a test to see which one is faster. I started the Intel Core 2 Duo Computer after I logged on to the other one and I could start it up and use it in 1/2 of the time it took for the AMD Processor Computer to warm up after I had logged on. There is proof that the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor is The Superior Processor vs. an AMD Athlon x2 64 Processor.
its better when it comes from reliablity and durability AMD is faster sometimes than Intel and more faster than ever to break. AMD's life span is short compared to INTEL.
AMD is cheaper than Intel ...
Both processors are in the Pentium Dual Core family. The Pentium Dual Core E2200 is better than the other.
intel i5 generally however some amd's will be better than i5's and vice versa
