Amoeba is a single-celled organism meaning it exists as only one cell and it performs all cell functions alone. Being unicellular means that you are a single-celled organism and so amoeba is unicellular, like all protists.

An amoeba is a shapeless, unicellular organism. Amoebas eat algae, bacteria, other protozoans, and tiny particles of dead plant or animal matter. Plants are living organisms belonging to the kingdom Plantae. They are not single-celled and there are thought to be 300-315 thousand species of plants. So a main difference is amoeba's are singled-celled, plants are not.
