No doubt. As long as they know real gun safety, because airsoft guns are nothing like Nerf guns if that is what you were supposing. Probably 9 or 10 and up (even though the packages usually recommend 16 and up, they are suitable for responsible children most-definitely) In fact, I got my first airsoft gun when i was 9 myself. Get to know your children's temper-levels, too. You would not want to give an airsoft gun to a kid who'd get mad and shoot people unprepared. But if they are responsible, don't lock their guns up with real guns. For younger kids (9-11)
don't get one over 360 fps (feet per second). As they mature and learn more precautions, you can expand the range of 'fps'. Lastly, if you feel concerned for you children, watch them while they use.
Anything is possible but not likely with air soft. But they do hurt when they hit you. Simply don't shoot anyone with an air soft gun. Treat it like a real gun.
Air soft is the common term, soft air is the correct name.
For an air soft gun it's average. Air soft guns can reach 400 FPS.
An air soft gun can possibly kill a rattle snake but it depends on the gun and where you hit it
you can't!
A BB gun has a very hard projectile and will cause more damage to a person than an air soft pellet.
An air soft gun would hurt much more than a Nerf gun. A Nerf gun only shoots foam at an extremely slow speed but an air soft gun is pressurized and shoots bb's at a much faster speed.
No.

No
A cap gun has no projectile- airsoft does.
Colt makes a 1911-A1 Pellet gun made by Umarex. I know of no BB gun unless you are asking about an Air Soft gun. The Pellet gun is very good. I can not answer about an Air soft gun.
