Is an organism's water intake more than its output?
October 10, 2008 2:10PM
If you are talking about plants, then yes. Water is consumed in photosynthesis to make sugar.
If you are talking about animals, then no. Animals make water out of the food they eat and the oxygen they breath.

Which is more important fluid intake or fluid output?
Asked in Conditions and Diseases, Body Temperature
What are the normal values for fluid intake and output of a healthy adult?
Average daily intake for an adult is 1200-1500 ml and the output should be equivalent to the intake. The partial answer of 1200-1500 ml seems to only address intake of oral fluids and output of urine fluids. A more complete answer includes fluid input from food and fluid output from stools, perspiration and respiration.

How does the deaths of organisms in the water lead to the death of more organisms?
If you mean organisms that live in water, then that will affect the ecosystem because some organisms won't have the dead organisms that they used to feed on, which will cause their death. On the other hand, if you mean the death of organisms that live on land in water, then that will affect the water, and will probably make it contaminated, which will cause the death of the organisms that drink the contaminated water.

How can adequate water intake be judged by the color of urine?
The clearer your urine, the more water intake. The more yellow the urine, the less water intake. The yellow color of urine is a consequence of certain molecules our body produces. The intensity of color therefore depends on the production of these molecule by our body and the amount of water we drink and subsequently excrete in the urine.

Why are fossils of land animals more rare then fossils of aquatic organisms?

Are there any diseases when water level becomes more in your body?
Asked in Vitamins and Supplements
Do vitamins make you pee more a night?
(1) Yes I believe they do . My answer (2) It all depends upon water or liquid intake . I am celiac and take Vitamins on daily need , in my case it is liquid in take . It is individually different. I have an immune issue and use a schedule of vitamins/minerals for health issues (pharmacist/dr approved) and I do not find that using either of these increase or decrease my nocturnal urine output. My output is based on the intake of liquids.

Asked in Solar Power
How does sunlight intensity and the surface area of a solar cell affect it's electrical power output?
The larger the area surface of the solar cell the more energy output is made, because of it has more area so that it can intake more sunlight so therefore it can give more of its energy of more quickly. Most obviously the more sunlight intensity on the solar cell the more energy it given off because sunlight = energy so the more sunlight that has been inputed into the solar cell the more output energy will be given off.

Can you intake more liquid through one straw or through two straws?
Why Water intake in large quantity is not good for heart?
in case of Cardiac Heart Failure patients, chances of pedal edema are very high,so already there is a higher water volume in the body as compared to normal people. If large quantity of water is consumed, leads to higher blood volume and exertin pressure on the blood vessels increases Blood Pressure that results in increased functioning of cardiac muscles.(not to get confused as more water intake will lead to frequent and more urination, because its only 50%of water i.e. converted in urine, rest of the water is absorbed in blood) Also in case of physically active people, water intake is not that problamatic, because there some amount of water gets excreted as sweat so the Water Input=Water Output and there is no added cardiac load Regards, Manjary Upadhyay, Business Training Manager, True Care Business, Piramal Health Care, Delhi
