I'm not quite sure but I dont think you need it jailbroken because if u need it jailbroken you can just download apps from Cydia (an app you get if u have ur pod jailbroken ) instead of going on a website. Dont update to iOS 6. It runs bad on the ipod touch and when you jailbreak it, it will be only slower. I will downgrade to iOS 5.1.1 since it is the best for me right now.
