legal to own...... illegal to make or import without proper paperwork.
It all depends on your definition of "armor" and "armor piercing".
Regardless of if it is legal or not, it is not ethical to do so. AP bullets are more likely to wound and maim, but not kill the deer.
I was going to say it depends on the state, but but it doesn't, really, as there is little (mostly no) state level enforcement. The state I live in (Georgia) doesn't regulate ammo at all. SO, federally banned ammunition: 1. armor-piercing pistol rounds. that's it.
Yes armor piercing can be owned in Ohio as well as many other types of ammo such as tracers although tracers can't be fired in some places. Of course who knows what will be legal after the new President takes office since the Democrats don't want any one to even own a gun.
No.
Probably not.
No. Ball ammo is a lead round nosed bullet with a copper jacket. It will just flatten when hitting armor.
Depends. Rifle or handgun? The Florida law addresses handgun ammo. See link below to the Florida ammo law.
No its illegal. Made illegal by the ammunition enforcement act in 1978.
You cant, its illegal You cant, its illegal
There are hundreds of slightly different types of ammo. For rifles, the most common are ball, blank, tracer, armor piercing, incendiary, frangible and dummy.
