it wouldn't be rude to ask them what their family does if you know this said coworker well. you may want to ask them over dinner of a coffee. i wouldn't just jump right in and ask them at the interview. they may think that you are to nosey and you might not get the job. so just play it by ear and see where the coworker relationship goes.
hope that i helped you. you can reach me at my e-mail anytime.

If a coworker is rude to a customer, I would first ensure the customer feels supported by addressing their concerns and apologizing for the behavior. Afterward, I would privately speak with my coworker to discuss their actions, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and customer service. If the behavior continues, I would consider reporting the incident to a supervisor to ensure it is addressed appropriately.
Yes it is rude.

Its rude because the person you promised to buy something with their money had trust in you. And its rude because it was their money. And also, they wont have faith in you. Thanks 4 asking! :-)
When a coworker starts asking personal questions, it's important to set boundaries by politely redirecting the conversation back to work-related topics or simply stating that you prefer to keep your personal life private. It's okay to assert your boundaries and prioritize your comfort in the workplace.
