Religion is not a disease, and so lack of religion is not a disease. It is just a reasonable conclusion one might reach on discovering there is no evidence that God exists. For this there is no cure, and of course none needed.
Many people find comfort or encouragement from religion. Sadly, many other people are encouraged by their religion to hurt other people, and this can be seen in every country of the world today - from the Westboro Baptists Church to Israeli Settlers and suicide bombers. Atheism doesn't encourage people: atheists get their encouragement from other sources, such as friends and family. Some atheists liken the encouragement of religion as the kind of encouragement which children get from their imagionary friends.
