I didn't go to a bartending school. My friend recommend a bartending book- Bartendingexposed.com so I ordered it. It cost me 37.00 and bartending school was going to cost me 400.00! I studied and learned my drinks. I got a job at a neighborhood bar and I love my job. I personally don't think anyone needs to spend 400.00 to go to school to learn how to bartend! It is an option to go to bartending school, it that is what you mean, but you do not have to do so do become a bartender. It is an option though an one that should be considered if you want the bartending job seriously. At a bartending schools, learn basics and get practice - to very valuable opportunities that will serve you well for years as a bartender. When deciding on a schools make sure to check they use real bartending equipment and that you receive real hands on training/working experience.

I think bartending is a great job! But it is not as easy as it looks. You meet a lot of people and I like working at night because we have bands here at the bar on weekends. I make great money. I was working for a Doctors office but I had a hard time paying my bills. I had always wanted to bartend. And I had heard that bartenders made good money, so I checked into a couple of bartending schools close by. I could not afford to pay 500.00 . I noticed that there were people ordering a bartending e-book called bartendingexposed it was very reasonable it only cost me 37.00. I just studied when I came home at night from work. Its a great e-book/ course. I really like my job bartending I have been working at the same bar for a year now. You asked what do you think about bartending? How long does bartending school last?
I went over to a bartending school in Ft Myers Fl and I talked to a teacher. She said that they offer different classes for different prices and classes last 4 to 6 weeks. The cost was 400.00 for basic bartending. Someone reccommend that I order a bartending book on line so I did. I t was only 37.00. I would recommend this bartending book also. I have a job now as a bartender. I had to study the book and learn my drink recipes. But after studying I went and found a job. You can go to a school, but I thought Id save you the time and money if I told you that you do not have to go to a school . No..I did not go to a school to be a bartender I did not have that kind of money that a school wanted. I was going to FSU in Fla and paying for my tuition and books for collage.
