Do more good deeds, then go to the hut in the west of town, and the old man will reveal himself as Basho.
You get it by the old man writing an haiko, (Basho) Then you finish the bridge by the peices in the right place.
Basho is the Haiku writer in the house sitting on the water. To have him speak to you you must win the sumo-wrestler match. Good luck!

After you wrestle with the sumo
You have to get mortar and fix the bridge. Then a sumo-wrestler comes and drops bonsai scissors. Then you pick that up and help an old lady. Then you have to defeat the sumo-wrestler. Then the guards get mad. Then the guy that comes in is Basho.
just do the good deeds (there are three) then go to where the sumo's are fighting & you'll find him there after you fight the sumo (he's the old man in the hut(house))
When you beat Yokozuna, security guards will come and ask to see your passport. The old man you saw earlier, Basho, will come and defend you. The security guards asked that it don't happen again, and they walk off.
