When a teacher is being especially mean is he training you for the future or just doesn't like you I would like this question to be answered my a teacher?

As a former teacher (I'm now a doctor), I'd say that there is no excuse whatsoever for a teacher to be mean to a student. Teachers are supposed to be education professionals and are supposed to educate you, not punish you. Punishment is for the principal or for your parents to do. If a teacher is being unduly rude or mean then this needs to be brought to the attention of either your parents or your principal, or both. If they are being unlawful towards you, then the police should be called. I never once made my students cry and if this teacher is being mean I'd say that they have a problem in their own life and perhaps should not be teaching. It is important to ask yourself if the teacher is truly being mean or if you are taking their critism of you or your actions at school to hard. Answer: It certainly depends on your criteria for "mean". If your definition of "mean" is that the teacher demands/expects punctuality, neatness, proper grammar, respect, proper spelling, good hygiene, completed homework, academic standards and so on then the teacher is "training you for the future". However if the teacher is like my high school French teacher who saw a day without tears or bruises as a lost day - then the teacher is being mean. With my own tutoring students I demand all of the first list, in the end those that last (I admit that sounds ominous) seem to be grateful.
