No. There are many occupations that one could engage in that would not matter if the person were color blind or not. Disabiity benefits are for those persons who cannot be gainfully employed due to a debilitating physical illness, injury or mental condition.

AnwerThis question is subject to much debate. Being colour blind can be a serious hindrance in some professions. For example, a colourblind person applying for a job as an electrician woyuld probably declare their colourblindness as a disability. The military and the RAF set strict standards for some of their employees with regards to colourblindness. AnswerYour question is of course open to some interpretation, but I wouldn't try to obtain my Social Security Disability benefits based on it.
