∙ 12y agoAll you need is to believe Jesus died for you and that he rose from the grave three days later, conquering sin and death. In the Bible, John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that anyone who would believe in him would not perish but would have eternal life." Basically what that is saying is that if you were to believe Jesus died and rose for you, then you would have eternal life with Him in Heaven. The other option would be for you not to believe that, and then go to H E double hockey sticks.

Only those who believe in Jesus' divinity and accept his gift of life will be saved. All have fallen short and need a savior, therefore should accept Jesus' grace and be saved regardless of what others say or do. People need to learn to think for themselves. Whether people believe or not does not alter the truth of who Jesus is and of His great love for all people. Jesus' divinity is central to who he is.

Believing in Jesus means that you believe that He is the son of God and that He was sent by God to die for our sins. Jesus offered himself up to be sacrificed on the cross (note that he didn't run away when the soldiers came for him) and as He lived a sin-less life, when He died he paid for our sins instead. Believing in Jesus means that you recognise Him as your Saviour because you no longer have to fear hell - your sins have been paid for by Him and you have been made right with God. It also means that you will live an eternal life with Him in Heaven! All you need to do is offer yourself to Jesus and ask forgiveness for your sins, and you will be forgiven and saved - it's as simple as that!

Christianity is being one with the one who died for the world, Jesus Christ. Jesus is and was the son of God and all that ask him into their lives and heart and home will be saved, and when I say saved I mean saved!!! As in saved from Satan and Hell. You don't need to read the bible to be saved, you don't need to read it at all. Jesus just says that it is good for us, fruit for the soul. To be saved all you need to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe with your heart that he died and rose from the dead. That's it your saved. It's then your choice if you want to please Jesus by going to church and reading the bible. Just as long as you have confessed and believe, your saved and Jesus is happy and loves you just the same.
