BIT mesra is not clearing this aspect even after asking this question officially. It is giving BE( MECH) degree to some candidates with distance education program . this Matter needs to be taken up by Govt. authorities and India Against Corruption as these candidates are getting absorbed through backdoor entry in Govt engineering services without even testing by UPSC for Their Technical Competance.

a bit is not an iit but not not less tha iit. how can you comment on the college whose closing rank is within 8000 BIT Deoghar is one of BIT's mesra centres. It comes just after the IITs. After all there's gud education & u get a valued degree from mesra itself. Hostels and Mess facilities are as good as given by various private colleges(infact those in deoghar r better than mesra) . Student's from karnataka, kerala tamilnadu himachal pradesh, delhi, gujrat, rajasthan assam, uttar pradesh ,maharashtra and ther states r already studying. Hence it's all in all a good interactive ,disciplined and studious environment.

Is nit jaipur better than bit mesra?

Well there's no comparison between them.Bit mesra is far better than mnit jaipur.Mesra's infrastructure is better than all nit's and can be compared to lower grade iits. Its faculty and research are ahead of all nit's and being situated in eastern india offers excellent quality of education unmatched with any nit's.Its hostel facilities are just uncomparable to nit's.Nit's just go by brand name and attract companies for placements. But still mesra gets better out of it.Check out mesra's website. Its average package for B.Tech is 5.5 lpa, with all getting at least a job.You may ask only one question now(:Why its cut off goes high?) Answer is: 1)Private College(People prefer Govt college & go for just nit tagname) 2)High fees compared to nit's 3)Located in Jharkhand(a poor & maoist state) Friends this is reality.I am a student of mesra and know ground realities very well.Even I thought of joining nit's.But visiting mesra changed my mind.Just go to mesra and compare it wih nits, you will get the answer. Do not just go for nit tagname!

If you reinstate your old credit card does that lower your chances for getting approved for another credit card from a different bank within the same month?

It will not lower your chances for being approved, it actually may raise them a little bit. Each lender has their own criteria for extending credit.

When they say congratulations you have been approved in principle for your loan mean?

If you are told that your loan has been approved in principle, it means that they expect to give you the loan that you have requested, but they still need to do a few more things, a bit more paperwork, questions, or whatever, before the deal is actually done.
