brawl is better becuz theres alot more characters and stages plus tropies and u get to collect stickers and be new characters like meat knight,sonic,toon link,star wolf,snake,olimar,zero suit samus,wario,lucas,pokemon trainer,and lucario and in melee u can only play as 24 characters and in brawl u can play as 38 also u can collect CD's for like theme songs and stuff like that and plus u can get a item called a smash ball where u can unlock a characters full power like sonic can be a super saiyan and fly around and be invincble

(i.e. wavedashing, L-cancel, ect.) brawl has none of these things, therefore making brawl a bit boring once you've cleared solo mode._______________________________________________________________________Well, based on my opinion, I'd say their both best, and each game has its better thing than the other, like Brawl has a story mode, and Melee has only adventure mode, while Melee has more better stages than Brawl, like Brawl has Hannenbow, which of course you ask me is not the right place for Brawl, and a bunch of stuff.
