Probably. Historically, it is older.
Yes. They are much much better than cake
Brownies are denser. The proportions of sugar / fat / flour are different in brownies and chocolate cakes. Brownies have relatively little flour and more cocoa (or chocolate) than chocolate cakes have. That is why one eats a much smaller piece of brownies than one eats of chocolate cake.
Absolutely. In my experience, brownies of any kind go faster than a cake will. Even more crowd pleasing would be to add peanutbutter brownies as well!
To transform brownie mix into cake, you can add an extra egg, reduce the amount of oil, and increase the amount of water or milk. This will make the batter lighter and more suitable for a cake texture. Bake the mixture in a cake pan at a slightly lower temperature than instructed for brownies.

A lady asked a chef at a certain hotel To prepare a dish for the laddies attending the fair ,it has to be,she said , smaller than a cake and easily eaten from lunched boxes ,so he came up with the brownies.
Brownies are said to have more fat than cookies. Cookies contain about 2g of fat while brownies contain about 4g of fat.
No, brownies are technically 'cakes'.ANSWERno they are brownies or cakes or chocolate squaresANSWERNo, you are both technically wrong. Brownies are a type of cookie called bar cookies.Yet another answer :-)It seems like the masses disagree on what a Brownie is :-)I would just like to point out that it is normally baked as a cake in a square pan. After baking it is sort of dry like a cookie. It is also cut up in squares at the size of a cookie. It is normally served the same way as a cookie would be.It is simply one of those cakes that taste like a cookie. Mouth watering already. Where do I have that recipy for it... I am going to make some.
Brownies are usually more forgiving because they don't need to rise like a cake and if they are uneven, they are still wonderful
I think you can, because cakes are just like brownies. So i guess you can make brownies out of cake mix. I have to stress that you can "NOT" make true brownies from a cake mix. Commercial cake mixes contain a rising agent which makes the cake "rise" into an airy confection. Although brownies do have a rising agent, they contain a great deal less than that of a cake. For example when I make my homemade cakes I use one and a half teaspoons baking powder (the rising agent), when making my brownies I use only 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking powder (which as you can see is nearly six times less than what is contained in cakes). If you were to use a cake mix you would want to kill the rising agent which is difficult to do. I suggest buying a mix specifically for brownies or making your own.
Usually a whole cake has more calories than a stick of butter.
if you mean other than baking, don't think so. they have brownies, muffins, cookies and different kinds of frosting.
