Good & bad!
I don't know "calcium" bicarb"i"nate. (Typo &/or mix_up?)
I know,
sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3, =Na.H.CO3, baking soda),
neutralizes acid (=good)
but overdose is bad (=causes cramps within 2 days).
..Because..
Carbonates (CO3) are unstable,
non_biological molecules (e.g. CaCO3, MgCO3,
simple chemicals, that the body uses imediately, =too fast)
which create cramps up to 2 days later (after taking),
as they decompose in the tissue,
into something more stable.
In
Calcium carbonate (CaCO3)
&/or
Magnesium carbonate (MgCO3):
the carbonate can be neutralized
with a biological (food) acid
like lemon juice (at least 15 minutes, before eating, bubbles off the CO2 gas)
so they don't cause cramps;
but won't neutralize much stomach acid either.
They are used for improving weak bones (Calcium deficiency, Osteoporosis).
I hope that helps (put you back on the right track),
& solve the confusion.
I assume you've mix up 2 different molecules (for treating acid)
(a calcium, & a bicarbonate (instead of carbinate))
& come up with a new chemical
which isn't very popular.
Here I've suggested both of those 2 methods, above.
Wiki says:
Sodium bicarbonate mixed with water can be used as anantacid (=anti_acid)
to treat acid indigestion andheartburn.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_bicarbonate
Name improvement: would be
"Sodium Hydrogen" Carbonate
where carbonate is Carbon tri_oxide, or Carbon "tri_Oxygen".
="Sodium Hydrogen Carbon tri_Oxygen".
Wiki has a page for
Calcium bicarbonate (Ca(HCO3)2),
which is "water hardness"
producing (hard white) "scale" in pipes
& "stone" in cave rivers etc. (stalactites, stalagmites,)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcium_bicarbonate
It's a very mild antacid,
which will probably give kidney stones, when taken a long time.
That's a common (overdose) problem
from eating too much (wrong=non_biological) calcium.
Summary
You probably meant:
"Sod"ium, instead of
"Calc"ium; &
Bicarb"o"nate, instead of
Bicarb"i"nate.
is turkey bacon good to eat with acid reflux
Well, acid reflux is definitely not a good thing. It can kill you by acid rising to your esophagus and burning it.
No. All carbonated beverages are acidic, and therefore contribute to acid reflux.
Fried food is not good. spicy food is not good. alcohol is not good. smoking is not good. All of these aggravate my husbands Acid reflux
yes
No.
yes
Since cranberries are quite tart I would think they wouldn't be good for acid reflux.
http://www.healthcentral.com/acid-reflux/medications.html is a good starting point when considering different acid reflux medications. Ask your doctor whether any cheaper alternative medicines will work for you.
Ascorbic acid which is actually good to fight reflux.
It depends on the type of cookies, but ingredients such as sugar or milk can trigger reflux.
Took me awhile to find a good site but http://www.heartburn-remedies.com/acid-reflux-diet/ is a very good site that answers your question and has other answers to questions you might think of later. Gives you tips on what foods are good and bad, and other things you can do to control your acid reflux.
