calpurnia the wife of caesar urged him that he should not go to the senate because she had dreamt that there is a household servant who has described some most dreadful sights which were seen by the watchman. A lioness has given birth to her young ones in the streets. Graves have opened wide and ghosts have come out of them . Soldiers clothed in fire and drawn up right battle array, have been seen fighting among the clouds . Their blood felll like rain upon the senate house. The noise of the weapons clashing against one another shook the air. The streets resounded with the horrible noises made by the ghosts.
She dreamt that caesar is mudered by the conspirators in the senate . His statue is standing and blood is flowing from his statue and people were dipping their hands in the blood . So fearing that this dream donot come true, she urged caesar not to go to the senate.

Calpurnia asked Caesar not to go to the Senate because she had a bad dream about his murder and felt uneasy about his safety. She believed that her premonition could be a warning for Caesar to avoid the Senate that day.

∙ 12y agoCalpurnia probbably knew about Brutus' plan to attack and murder Caesar and tried to tell him, without being caught by Brutus' men (had he been caught grassing they would have killed him). But because of Caesar's strong will, determination and, some would say, stupidity, he brushed the comment aside. consequently he was killed horribly.

Moreover the night before the frightening dream someone saw a lion in the market place and the graves opened and gave up their death. after calpurnia persuaded Cæser to stay home, Brutus knew something like this would happen and he sent one of his men to take Caæser to the Capitol as he wished to kill Cæser.
