Industrial oils are designed with additives for very specific jobs. Motor oil is a general oil, designed generally for any consumer internal combustion engine and has many other uses as a general lubricant. It uses a certain type and number of additives that will perform best in that environment yet has many other uses as a general lubricant. Oils classified as "Industrial" are designed for a specific job for industrial machinery such as cams, gears, gearbox design, dirt and contaminants in the environment , temperatures and so on for the industrial equipment it will be used on/in. For instance, greases are an industrial lubricant, with many different types for specific applications, a penetrating oils, machine oil, hydraulic oils, gear oils and so on are "loose" industrial oils with variations that make them somewhat specific. An "industrial" oil is very limited in its design use, so much so that it may be formulated to a particular part on a particular machine such as a the bearings on an Heidelberg's M3000 offset press ink rollers, it cannot interfere with the inks properties and will perform poorly as a general lubricant, the fingers on a Harris staple binder that pulls the forms down, it cannot leave a mark on the pages.
Motor oil used in consumer engines is much to general to be labeled an industrial oil. It is used in everything from a push mower to a 5k hp locomotive engine and everything in between. However, industrial oils may be used in a large open ship engine that uses oilers that drip oil onto the open crankshaft journal's and cam lobes and valve guides. Also, many non-consumer combustion engines use a specific industrial oil or grease.
In summary, Motor oil is a considered a general lubricant for any consumer internal combustion engine, industrial oil is very specific, right down to a particular part on a particular manufacturer's product.
A factory opens that mass produces light bulbs.
The oil change garage or Mercedes dealer has to reset the oil change light. The oil change light goes by the mileage on the car, tripping the light on at the factory recommended oil change intervals. The computer doesn't know you changed the oil in the car unless you tell it. Read your car owners manual.
The car actually measures the viscosity of the oil while you are driving and running the car when you change the oil the light will be reset.
It means, that you have to refill oil and cooling water.
BLCO means "Bonny Light crude oil" which is a crude from Nigeria.
When the low oil level light comes on, it means that the car has a low level of oil. This means a person needs to add oil to their car.
If it was run without oil, the engine is most likely toast.
Possibly bad oil pump, too heavy weight of oil, incorrect filter. Sensor for the oil light could malfunction
The red oil light means you car is low on oil, or there is a problem and should be checked.
When the car is off, there is no oil pressure. So it is below the threshold for which the light is supposed to turn on.
Oil pressure could be the problem - OR - Oil sending unit if the oil light is on it means the oil pump is not working or faulty.it doesn't mean there is no oil.
on some cars it means it has a bad oil pressure sensor
