Since this is a question of opinion, I will give mine.
First, it depends what gender the kid is when I think of a girl Casey I think of a popular, friendly, good-humored girl. But when i think of a guy Casey i think of strong-willed, playful, energetic guy. The only real problem I have with the name is that there will probably be some gender confusion for the child.
