Why is it that the teaching of the Catholic Church today does not bear or carry the teaching of Jesus or the Apostles?

Roman Catholic AnswerThis question puts me in mind of "When did you stop beating your wife?". That question assumes that you have been beating your wife. This question assumes that the Catholic Church does not carry the teaching of Jesus and the Apostles which is absolute nonsense as, by very definition, the Catholic Church is the only Church which was established by Jesus Christ, Himself, and God sent the Holy Spirit to guide it until the end of time. So, it is obvious that the Catholic Church is the only Christian Church; or as the Creed puts it, the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Other "Churches" have Christians in them only insofar as they have a valid baptism, and believe in the Nicene Creed in its traditional interpretation. Further, Jesus appointed Peter and his successors as Vicars to rule His Church on earth. To question that the Church does not carry on the teaching of Jesus is to say that God is either a liar or that He is incapable of fulfilling His promises. To do either is blasphemous, and the only people who raise such a question, historically, have been protestants who came into existence fifteen centuries after the crucifixion and resurrection of Our Blessed Lord and decided that Jesus indeed had been unable to fulfill His promises to be with His Church and protect It from error. In coming to this outrageous assumption, they left the Church that God established for the salvation of His people and formed their own ecclesial community thus depriving themselves, and their progeny to the means of salvation that Jesus left us. I would recommend two things in answer to this question. For the bare facts, please read the Catechism of the Catholic Church particularly starting at paragraph #857 which discusses the Church is Apostolic. The second thing I would recommend is sincere, humble prayer to Jesus asking Him to guide you into all truth, and discussing this with one of His priests in His Church.

How is official teaching of the Catholic Church passed on?

.Catholic AnswerWrong question, the question should be how is the official teaching of Our Blessed Lord passed on, and the answer would be the Catholic Church. .The Church accomplishes this in Her preaching and teaching. For instance, examples of Her preaching and teaching include writings: this would include the Bible, which is the earliest, canonized example of Her teaching, Papal Encyclicals, Catechisms, etc. These would all be infallible teachings since any teaching from the Holy Father, or the Bishops in union with the Holy Father are guaranteed infallible, thus the Bible is guaranteed as the actual Word of God because of the Catholic Church's imprimatur on it..Besides official writings, there would be the ordinary teaching office of the Magisterium, in union with the Holy Father. The ordinary Magisterium in union with the Holy Father is THE way in which the official teaching of Our Blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been passed on from day one until today.
