Progressive Christianity is a movement within the Christian faith that encourages the exploration of the implications of critical biblical scholarship and the emerging proposals of eminent contemporary theologians, scholars and others. It explores alternatives to traditional religious beliefs and practices and new ways to understand religious faith. It is inherently transformation-centric, concentrating on how one's Christian spiritual practice transforms one's life (and consequently the life of all aspects of community) rather than on adherence to a set of mind-prescriptions (beliefs) about God or the person of Jesus.
