Hans Pemsteen has written: 'Clash of the Titans' -- subject(s): Fiction, Greek Mythology, Juvenile fiction, Perseus (Greek mythology)
Perseus
His mother was Thetis. However, it should be noted that Calibos was only a character in the movie "Clash of the Titans"(1981) and was never a character in Greek mythology.
The original story was from greek mythology and was just about perseus defeating medusa but in the movie they added the kraken which is never mentioned in any greek myth.
The Titans formed from Uranus and Gea

There's not a specific book that this movie is based on. However it is a remake of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans. Both are based on Greek mythology, and the story of Zeus's son Perseus. A good source for Greek mythology are Edith Hamilton's books, specifically Mythology. For a completely modernized retelling of this myth and similar ones you can also read/watch Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
There are 12 titans in Greek mythology. 2 of them were good, the rest were bad No i disagree technically it was 10 of them fought on the titans side and 2 of them fought on the Gods side
Cos they arent talking about actual Greek titans of the underworld. Titans as in larger than life characters, heroes etc. Don't take things so literally ya dummy.
