Yes, it certainly is.
Global warming, caused by the increase in greenhouse gases like CO2 in the atmosphere, is a serious environmental problem. It leads to rising temperatures, changes in weather patterns, sea level rise, and threatening ecosystems and biodiversity. Immediate action is needed to reduce emissions and mitigate its impacts.
Humans are responsible for serious deforestation as well as the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). Climate scientists agree that this is what is causing global warming and climate change.
Global warming is already a serious problem. If it continues to warm then there is a real threat to life on this planet. The Chief Scientist in Britain, when asked what were the chances of the human race surviving till 2100, replied, "50:50!"
The answer you are looking for is climate change. However, the question is incorrect. Global warming is not the same as climate change. Global warming is the warming of the earth. Climate change is the result of this warming.
Global warming skeptics do not believe the geoscientists, engineers and meteorologists round the world. The skeptic individuals believe that nature is the primary cause of global warming and/or that future global warming will not be a very serious problem.
To spread the word about the serious problem of global warming and how we can prevent it.
That would be impossible to answer. The problem is that most of "global warming" is dependent on computer models of how the climate works, using all kinds of current data to predict what the future climate will be. The problem is that the models are badly flawed; given all known data for everything before last year, the models are incapable of predicting the current conditions. The models say that the world should be warming; the data doesn't show that.
Well, eventaully global warming will cause serious damage to the worlds climate eg. massive weather chages, dangerous tempertaures, flooding etc. And we will no longer be able to live the way we do today. So it will be a big problem.
Global warming is already a serious problem, which, if we don't take action immediately to move to renewable energy (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass and biofuel) will continue to be a problem in the future.
Approximately 97 of climate scientists believe in global warming.
Global warming.
If we choose to do what we can to prevent global warming, we will avoid potentailly catastrophic climate change, rising sea levels, loss of wildlife habitat and biodiversity, and serious economic harm in the medium and long term.
