It is a vegetable for sure. Iv'e never heard anyone call it a fruit. You can prove coconuts are vegetables because they grow separately, unlike fruit, which grow in bunches. Also the mass of a vegetable is much greater than the mass of a fruit, and as we all know, coconuts have a rather large mass. Scientifically speaking coconuts grow from a podual that can only be found in the caladotious family, which is a branch of the vegetable kingdom. Also, vegetables have a hard outer shell, as do coconuts. So overall, coconuts can be classified as vegetables.

No it isn't either, it is a nut. It is a giant nut. If you look on Wikipedia it is called a seed or a fruit.

A coconut is a fruit because it comes from trees. Anything that comes from seeds is a fruit. A coconut grows from a tree. A tree grows from seeds. Therefore, a coconut is a fruit.
