Coffee beans are the seed of the coffee plant's fruit.

The coffee is a cherry-like fruit that grows on tree, but the coffee you drink in the morning is the seed inside the "fruit".

Tea is an evergreen plant, Camellia sinensis which grows mainly in tropical and sub-tropical climates. Left undisturbed the tea plant will grow into a tree, however for cultivation they are kept pruned as bushes to make the leaves easier to harvest.

The coffee bean is the seed of the coffee plant. It is called a "bean" because of the shape of the fruit. The actual seed is enclosed within the ovary as is a cherry or peach seed. When the coffee "cherry" is bright red, it is ready to be harvested for the seed.
