As far as I know Comic Relief is only held in the U.K. and has been running since 1985. It helps British children and African children by fundraising millions of pounds for charities. U.S. stars and celebrities usually help out by advertising, but it is a British event. I'm sure the rest of the world could donate online if they wished though.
