physical change.
Physical
firstly what do u mean by phys/chem change??????
but technically it is a chemical change because there has been a reaction giving off SO2. take combustion of coal for example when burning sulfurous coal some of the sulfur compounds react with combustion medium usually being air thus being converted to SO2 in the flue gas. the reaction chemistry is unimportant but you can look anywhere on the net for that.
Physical. A chemical change involves a change in the molecules or atoms of a substance. Coiling a wire changes the shape, but the material that makes up the wire is still the same.
That is a physical change.
Physical change
solid and gas . Solid because it has a fixed shape and gas because it can be compressed * * * * * It is a solid. The fact that it can be compressed does not make it a gas. The compression is simply because a sponge contains a large number of spaces that are filled with gas but the gas there (air) is not part of the sponge.
Sponge Cake
Weight. (Since fluid is squeezed out, the compressed sponge weighs less). However, if the question refers to compressing a dry sponge, then the only quantity that would change would be volume.
Evaporation
In spone instant shoe shine used sillicon oil
Yes
It is a physical change: the water is absorbed into the sponge-like pasta. The elements and compounds of the flour and water are not changed, and you could even dry the pasta out again (with a probable loss of quality).
The elasticity of the rubber and sponge refers to the tendency of the rubber or the sponge to return to their original shape after they have been compressed or stretched.

Kitchen sponge can be made from polyurethane.
Sponge Cake
is isponge react with chlorine
The hard material is kind of already compressd therfor is hard to compress while things like a sponge can be compressed easilly. compression just brings the atoms closser together
