Well, they have the right idea. The teachers are always there for you tho call/email them if you need help, and you can take your own breaks. But is is a TON of work. I am olny in 10th grade and I have big exams and essays to write every week. I am stuck on the weekend finishing them all. Another thing is it is confusing. Being on the computer, there are several programs the teachers want you to do, it is confusing. This is not just my account, I have talked to several CA students, and they all think this.
Another thing connections academy lacks is the social aspect. If you do not play sports or are not involved in some extracurricular activities, you will have no social life. Bottom line, I would not recommend this program, as the cons outweigh the benefits.

Connections Academy is a totally free public school from home. It is a very good school. I am actually a student from this school and I like it. One of the only cons about this school is that they have STAAR (used to be TAKS) testing at the end of every school year. When starting school for the day you simply log into the Connexus log in. This will take you to your Connections Academy homepage. From this homepage you can see your daily tasks (lessons) and check your webmail, school directory, message boards, calender, ect..Every week you will have LiveLessons which are lessons in an online classroom where all your classmates gather in with your teacher just like a regular school. Your teacher then discusses a topic and then you are dismissed. Overall, this school is a great school and I highly recommend it. Oh, and by the way, this school will send you a completley free computer or laptop for your school year.
