no. its lens like glass for you to see far or near
Yes it is a convex lens just like the one in your eye! A convex lens goes outwards but a concave lens goes inwards (like a cave). Simple! :-) xoxo
convex lenses are found in camera's most often.
It depends whether it's a concave or convex lens. If it's a convex lens - the thickest part is at the centre. With a concave lens, the thickest part is around the edge.
A convex lens is curved outward on both sides. Also, a convex lens, is used to enlarge objects.

A convex lens.
The lens in a door peephole is a convex lens with a very short focal length, giving it a wide field of view. If it were on a camera, it would be called a "Fisheye lens".

a convex lens
A convex lens bows outward like the outside of a bowl. A concave lens bows inward like the inside of a bowl. If your camera has a telephoto zoom lens it would have both types maybe 3, 4 or more. These convex, concave lenses are used to focus an image either on to film in the old type camera, or a light-sensitive sensor in a digital camera. The purpose of focusing the image is to unscater the light coming in so your picture will be clear. Having several lenses that can be moved back and forth allows the image to get bigger or smaller, such as in a zoom lens.
