No. Regular corn (on the cob, frozen, whole kernels) is very good for you. Full of great nutrients and it has good (complex) carbohydrates in it.

Likewise, (plain, airpopped) popcorn is not considered junk food either. BUT the butter, hydrogenated oil, salt, etc on most popcorn can make it fall into the junk food category.

The word "cereal" actually refers to grains, which are considered a type of grassy plant. Cereals such as rice, corn (maize) and wheat are by themselves not junk foods, but they are often made junky by being processed with sugar and other superfluous ingredients. All you can do is either prepare your own meal with whole grains, or check the label when purchasing cereal products. The less additives, the less junky it is.
