Cumberland Island is the largest of Georgia's barrier islands. The Island is a national park for the most part with some privately held property as well. It is one of the very few "undeveloped" coastal areas left in the country. there are no high rise condos on Cumberland's beaches. the island remains very much as it was found by the first human inhabitants.
