I read on 1 website that you open the capsule, dump the powder on a plate, put it in the microwave for a minute, and u will have something that is worth snorting...but I definately want to get more information about this before I even consider wasting a pill on this, I have opened the capsule and dumped the powder in a glass filled about 1/4th full of water, then stirred it up until the powder fully disolved and then drink it, this seems to make the meds kick in quicker and I know for a fact that this works and is not a waste of meds.

AnswerIt's better to take the pill ONLY AS DIRECTED. The reason manufacturers and pharmacists give you instructions is to tell you the BEST way to take a pill. The way you take it affects how well it works. Some pills need to disolve in your small intestine, some in your stomach to work best. Snorting anything is irritating to the lining of your nose. I've seen people with the inside of their noses eaten away from snorting then get upset when the doctor can't fix it.Answeroc's(oxycontin),dimerol,diladid all snortable anything else swallow.This is all true, but to each his own, and the question was never actually answered. They say it's better to "parachute", the method you're talking about as opposed to snorting because by parachuting, it hits you almost as quickly as snorting does, and you feel the effects longer than you would snorting. Snorting feels good for about 30 minutes, then you're anxious for more. It's better to just avoid the rush so you never know how it feels like and enjoy the nice smooth ride of Oxycontin :) ...wish I practiced what I preached, lol. Normal cocaine (Cocaine Hydrochloride) is the typical white powder people snort. This form is a water soluble salt of the cocaine free base and the HCl. This form also vaporizes at a temperature very close to the temperature at which it burns, making it difficult to smoke. Crack cocaine is a cheap yet inefficient method of freeing the base cocaine molecule from the salt. It uses baking soda to remove the proton from the base. However, this safe, cheap method does not involve any purification steps, leaving some water and baking soda (impurity) along with the newly formed "crack" which forms crystals and floats to the top. So freebase cocaine along with other impurites are what make up crack cocaine. Freebase cocain is formed by a similar process. However, ammonia is used to remove the proton and free the cocaine base. Diethyl ether (extremely flammable and volatile) is used to dissolve and remove the freebase cocaine. This can simply be siphoned off the top since ethyl ether does not mix with the water/ammonia solution. The Diethyl Ether evaporates and pure freebase cocaine is left behind. The straight forward answer is that there is absolutely no difference between crack and cocaine base, because crack is a street name or nick for cocaine base. The uses and effects are 100% identical. So the next question is why is there a higher penalty for crack than cocaine base. The straight forward answer is our Legislative, Executive and Judicial branch has engaged in racial discrimination when charging black americans, which is what we call the new form of the Jim Crow Law.
