Yes it is.
When installing WoW, Blizzard uses a distributed downloading system like some file sharing programs. A tracker tells your download client where to get pieces of the download from other WoW clients that happen to be connected at the time you are downloading.
Start your WoW game like normal and Blizzard downloader should automatically start downloading the Latest patch.
You can't. If you don't have the current patch downloaded you can't play.
It'll most likely speed up.
You have to delete the set realm and patch file text in the main folder
Try downloading them one at a time, in order. WoW first, than BC, than WoTLK. WoW will take the longest, BC isn't long, at all, and WoTLK is a couple hours. Good luck. :)

Whitesmoke is an application that is worth downloading because this program may cost a certain price depending on where you live, but the way the program works and the fact that it is an all-in-one program makes the price completely worth it.
depends on what your downloading it from. CDs is like 15 min tops. P2P depends on your internet (like mines took 48 hours no lie) and downloading it from blizz MAY take from 30 min to 2 or 3 days dependingon your internet/firewall. If your computer rapes everything it sees with firewall then maybe about 5 days if u get it from the internet (thats how long it took me)
