Depending on how fast or skilled you are, the main storyline of DQ9 should take roughly 30 hours to complete. However the post-game content is massive, there are many more quests, accolades, alchemical items, etc. There are the grottoes and 'legacy bosses' (boss encounters from previous DQ games) etc. If you are a 100% completionist, it'll take months to do.
