Is dragonball z the same as dragonball z Kai?

Actually Dragon Ball Z Kai has all the filler episodes cut out and like 200-ish episodes are cut back to 100 or so episodes and its digitally remastered so there's new music and I think the characters were brought back to redo the voices.

Kai is a digitally remastered yes but the reason for even to redo the series was because it was considered too long and was summarized and shortened in Dragon Ball Kai.

The difference between Dbz and Dbz Kai is that The makers of dbz thought it was too long with too many fillers and un needed episodes so they remade DBZ in 100 episodes, wich they called dbz Kai, in the animation design and voice acting along with the script i don't think they have changed it Any but i could be wrong hope i could be of help

DBZ Kai is redone version of the Z saga. The episodes more closely resemble the manga and are also redone in hi-def

Dragon Ball Z Kai is only an edit of Dragon Ball Z - Season 1- 6 not the whole DBZ series. So if watch DBZ Kai, you then have DBZ season 7 - 9 (Then Dragon Ball GT).

No, it is not the same, DBZ Kai is a shortened DBZ. As the original DBZ was nearly 300 episodes long they decided to shorten it. I would highly suggest DBZ over DBZ Kai, DBZ Kai is entirely fighting, not as much comedy, plus DBZ Kai takes away so much from the story. Although, just in my opinion, Dragonball is better than either of them.

well, yes and no. dbz has a lot more filler. dbzkai follow's more closely to the manga. but they both have the same story line. dbz has 291 episodes, and dbzkai only has 100. but, yeah, they are the same (pretty much).

The difference is that Kia is shorter and kia is more for kids. It does not have blood, it does not have bad words, and they though some bad stuff that master Roshi does.

I just played both of them by myself yesterday. They are quite different. Z Fighters is more exciting I think.
