The sun is a very close approximation of an ideal blackbody (it's been called a "real" blackbody), since its actual solar radiation/emission curve is very similar to that of an ideal blackbody emission curve. Ie, with fluctuation, it very nearly absorbs and emits all radiative energy received.

The color of an object depends upon its temperature as predicted by the Stefan-Boltzmann law. This law describes the "ideal" blackbody radiation given off by any object above absolute zero. Every object emits blackbody radiation although you do not normally notice it because our eyes are only sensitive to a very small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. An object must be quite hot for it to emit visible light. For example, the heating element on a stove glows "red hot". The Stefan-Boltzmann law allows us to determine the temperature by measuring the color spectrum given off by the heating element. Our Sun is an another example of a "real" blackbody radiator. It's spectrum isn't as smooth as the "ideal" (it is pitted and bumpy due to real-world conditions including, but not limited to, absorption of the radiation en route to the earth) but it is close enough.

There is no body in the universe which acts as a perfectly black body(According to classical concept). But,according to me perfectly black body is present in universe. This is explanation: Explanation:

1.A body which has coefficient of absorption=1,coefficient of transmission and reflection=0 is called as perfectly black body.Due to this it will not be able to reflect or transmit any light incident on it,i.e,it will absorb all light which is incedent on it.

2.According to Huygen's wave theory of light, we see object whenever light waves fall on retina of our eyes.

3.But,light wave can not be reflected from perfectly black body, due to this,we can not see it.

4.CONCLUSION:Perfectly black body is present in the universe but we can not see it.

The only thing that would be considered a "black dwarf" is the stellar ash of a white dwarf that has cooled completely. Supposedly, the entire age of the universe so far is not long enough yet for this to have happened. Secondly , the sun is a mid-life main sequence star. It is shining brightly, going about it's business as it has been for 4.5 billion years, and as it will for 4.5 billion more. But some day, the sun will become a white dwarf.

That's right when some body says that the Earth appears blue from space, but what they meant by black body radiation accoriding to Earth they didn't mean it's colour they meant the behaviour,i.e Earth absorbs all radiations comes from any source around it as Stars(which include the Sun),then it totally re-emitts this radiations. and that what is said black body radiation

Any object with a temperature about absolute zero is a black body although the efficiency varies significantly.

So, is the earth a black body? Yes, definitely.

Is the earth a perfect black body? No!

No. Our Sun isn't massive enough to become a black hole. Only stars greater than three solar masses can become black holes.

No, the moon is not a blackbody because it reflects all light and radiates none.

Not at all. It is quite well lighted, and in fact looks blue from space.
