No. To say that would be to give a language the characteristics of a person. A language is not even an inanimate object, it is an abstract thing that emerges out of the human brain.
Basically people LOVE to talk to one another, just look at all the people using phones all the time. This desire to communicate crosses cultures and countries and it can only be met if we all have some sort of basic language in common. The people of the world (as individuals) seem to have chosen to use English to achieve this communication and most now have English as a second language.
Obviously after a certain critical mass of people have done this whatever language this happened to would end up as the Language of Earth.
It is however very important that people use and speak their own languages too, there is culture and tradition in them that we would all be poorer for if this were lost.
