Well. I just drank half a bottle about 6 months after the expiration date and no issues.
The consensus seems to be that if it smells fine and isn't curdled, it's ok to drink. If it smells like rotten dairy product, you'll know immediately and you're probably not even going to consider it.
I should add that my bottle had been opened a year ago and was still 6 months past the due date. It's been kept in a fridge since, and it was good as new. No idea if it's the exception or the rule though.
