Physical change because the fading dye is still dye
Physical change because the fading dye is still dye
A faded picture is a chemical change because the colors in the ink or dye have chemically changed due to exposure to light or air. This change is irreversible and alters the molecular composition of the pigments in the picture.
Yes it is a chemical change because color change is an observed change that a chemical change has occurred. So you are very much right. :)
Physical. Because its just in the appearance. Not chemical because than a new substance would form. Its physical for sure.
Physical
The physical change that happens to the water from the dye solution is that it gets colored. The water molecules themselves do not change chemically, but they become colored by the dye molecules that dissolve in the water.
yes. the difference between a physical change and a chemical change is this: physical change changes its looks but it can be changed back. a chemical change changes its state of form and it can't be changed back. ex: an ice cube melting into water. you can always put the water in the freezer and it comes back as ice. but if metal rusts, there is no way you can change it back. so you can get a perfessional or a special cleaning device to remove the dye plus its still a cloth; therefore, it is a physical change.
Physical, the water is still water and the food coloring is still food coloring you just mixed them together in one space. If you waited long enough the food coloring and water would settle back out so you had just water and food coloring.
phisical, unless using bleach. bleach actually changes pigment, while normal dye just covers-up the existing color.
The shirt is white because something is making it white and that something could have reacted with the blueberry juice. It depends on the juice and the material the shirt is made of. If the Juice can be squeezed out or removed with enough rinsing or washing, it may be just a physical change. Otherwise, the dye in the juice may have chemically bonded with something in the shirt material and may need a chemical substance such as a bleaching agent to neutralize it.
A chemical that alters the apparent color of a substance is a dye.
yes, because after coloring your hair, your hair cannot be changed back to its original color without "just letting it grow out" or another dye job. the change is irreversible, thus it is a chemical change.
