Yes, fashion design is a NESAD major at Suffolk University. (New England School of Art and Design.)
Well I think it would depend on the college but if you were attending a fashion college, the major would be fashion design but a four-year or a community college might have it under a different name. A great fashion college for fashion design is (FIDM)The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA. The school has years and years of experience in the fashion industry and many famous fashion designers graduated from FIDM.
Depends on ur major but it generally starts at $35,000
The requirements are different depending on which major you want to pursue but in general, they require to see your transcrips if you're transfering from high school or junior college. They don't require any prior fashion experience or any prior work experience but my advice is to give 110% on the entrance project, essay and interview and intern while you're in school because that's the best. Good luck!

Major Fashion Designers in ParisI am definitely not too familiar with the fashion world. However, I have spent time in Paris. Well I would think it would be difficult for someone to try to get into the fashion designing without any formal training. There are schools out there such as FIDM/The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising who specialize in careers in the fashion industry and even offer Fashion Design as a major. Many famous fashion designers started out at FIDM and really benefited from their education there and made awesome connections within the fashion industry that led to jobs! If you have talent, drive and are passionate about fashion, then it sounds like you have what it takes to be a fashion designer.

Leather is used in everything and anything the designer can imagine. Accessories, clothing to jewelry,.,,etc.... Most major designers, design houses have at least a several leather made items in their collections. It would be easier to find a designer who doesn't carry leather.
