Seems to be for some people, check outHow_long_do_Lexapro_withdrawal_symptoms_lasta lot of different experiences shown here including yours, good luck!
I have been on Lexapro for about a month now. My weight is ballooning. I want to come off of it before the withdrawal get to bad. Does the time you are on lexapro coincide with the amount of withdrawl problems? The problem is, I feel great taking the lexapro, but, can't handle the side effect
yes, you (obviously) know tachacardia is a symptom of lexapro. I (obviously) suggest you discontinue lexapro very (very) slowly to avoid the rapid pounding inside your chest......
Yes. Fatigue is the most common symptom - usually for a few days to a week.
I am not sure if its common - but ive been off lexapro for 4 days now - and its pretty much the only side effect i have - and its pretty constant.
You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.
Yes, I stopped taking Lexapro 6 days ago and I started feeling that way about 3 days later and it hasn't gotten better yet.
I wouldn't do that if I were you. You need to wean yourself off of Lexapro slowly and even then you are going to get some withdrawl symptoms, including dizziness and nausea. That's what happened to me when I went off Lexapro over a two week period. From what I understand the withdrawl can sometimes be worse than what I had. I would consult with your doctor and come up with a plan for you to get off. If you need to go back on something I would stay away from Lexapro - I have been on several antidepressants and that was the worse one to stop!
I was on Lexapro for 6 months experienced withdrawl symptoms for 2 months after and 6 months later began having anxiety attacks again. I even tapered off the drug for a month but still suffered withdrawl.
It is not recommended to stop Lexapro cold turkey. Everyone's withdrawal period is different, and the amount of time it takes to be fully off the drug depends on many factors. I think what you're describing is a "brain zap" which is an electric shock dizzy sensation. It's a common withdrawal symptom from discontinuing antidepressants. Best of luck getting off these drugs--I'm trying to come off Lexapro myself in order to save money.
No, Lexapro contains escitalopram, not PCP.
