Loosely this can be called a narcotic. not a true painkiller but its very much a controlled substabce. I believe the med name is Butalbital. its a barbiturate, it has a bit of caffeine in each tablet as well. This drug is generally used for relief of Tension headaches. If you take one too many of these, you can die because unlike more modern tranquilizers such as benzodiazepines, barbs don't have such a limit in how they shut down your central nervous system so high doses are very dangerous, and the lethal level doesnt go up the same rate your tolerance would.

Butalbital is probably not the most dangerous barbiturate out there, seeing as it has caffeine in it and whatnot, but i wouldn't mess with it if that's why you were asking.
